Cooking with Green Hydrogen
Imagining a new way of cooking… one that is good for the environment, sustainable, autonomous and safe.
Tatva1 is building a clean cooking system that provides these benefits by harnessing solar energy to produce hydrogen locally. All that’s needed is supply of drinking quality water.
Origin Story
"Tatva" in Sanskrit means element. Tatva1 harness the power of the first element in the periodic table, hydrogen.
This idea of using hydrogen produced with electrolysis as a cooking fuel is rooted in sustainability, autonomy and energy independence. Sustainability is paramount in the coming decades as our world deals with climate crisis. Having the autonomy of making your own fuel when you need it gives you the control, and shields you from outages and price increase from utilities. The theme of independence derives from relying on imported fuel for countries that aren’t blessed with natural resources but still need to feed their people. It can provide safety and freedom for the vast majority of rural households in developing nations, who’s citizens still use firewood for cooking, exposing women and young children to severe health hazards.
Idea
Our planet is getting warmer. Greenhouse gas emissions are on the rise. The way we drive, the comforts we desire, not the least of all, the way we cook… all this needs to become sustainable.
This is one such attempt. A new way of cooking, using a fuel you can make with water, the fuel which powers our Universe.
Hydrogen. Made sustainably where you need it - your home, your restaurant or at your campsite, with electrolysis using Sun’s energy.
Electrolysis makes high purity hydrogen, as well as oxygen, so you also get pure oxygen created at your site.
